More than a passion! Find here all the Japanese maps of the 1st and 2nd edition released in 1996 in the land of the rising sun.

Our catalogue will be enriched as we go along to allow you to have access to the map of your dreams and to bring back your childhood memories.

These old-school cards are grouped into different rarities: The Commons (with a small black circle at the bottom right), Non-Commons (a diamond will appear instead of the circle), Rares and Holographic Rares (both with a star as a sign of rarity).

What collections belong to this category of old school cards?

You must have seen a first or second edition card at least once in your life, the different back design makes them mythical and full of nostalgia: impossible not to be able to remember past trading sessions with friends at school.

This group of cards appeared in Japan between 1996 and 2001 and consists of several expansions released in this chronological order:

. The Basic set released in 1996

. The Jungle expansion in March 1997

. The Fossil series in June 1997

. The Team Rocket expansion in November 1997

. The Gym Heroes and Gym Challenge series released in 1998 and 1999 respectively

. The Neo set, known for introducing the second generation Pokémon into the TCG universe, composed of : Neo Genesis (February 2000), Neo Discovery (July 2000), Neo Revelation (November 2000) and Neo Destiny (April 2001).

How are Pokémon cards delivered to my home?

Like you, we collect Pokémon cards, and we are well aware of the value of these cards. All cards will be sent in a sleeve, enclosed in a top loader (plastic box). In addition, they will be wrapped in bubble wrap, and shipped in a bubble envelope or special cardboard box.

How can you tell the difference between the first and second edition maps?

The 1996 Base Set contains the first edition cards and all other expansions released after that up to and including Neo Destiny contain the second edition cards. A symbol varying according to the expansion will appear to the right of the frame indicating the weight and size on the second printing cards (and not on the basic set).

What are the reasons for the popularity of the Wizard cards?

Highly sought after by collectors and much publicised by the press, first and second edition cards have been the talk of the town in recent years.

We have all heard of the famous holographic Charizard card that sold for over 300,000€. We can explain the craze for these cards by the fact that the license has rocked the childhood of our generation whether it is through video games, the TCG universe or the anime.
